Cutting a dash at the Goodwood Revival

17 Sep 2021
Cutting a dash at the Goodwood Revival The annual Goodwood Revival in Sussex, England is as much a sartorial spectacle as a classic motor racing event.  Spectators dress in period fashions from the 1940s, '50s and '60s to watch priceless cars from the same era scorch around the historic track.  Gentlemen impress in military uniform, tweeds and vintage overalls, while ladies go to town in vintage fashions from furs and pearls to psychedelia and white boots.  Charlotte represented Classic Canes with a classic ladies' bamboo crook umbrella to complement her 1948 wool suit, felt hat, crocodile shoes and other vintage accessories including this 1950s red plane.  Fabulous darling!

First day of Autumn

1 Sep 2021
First day of Autumn We are celebrating the first day of autumn with this selection of autumn shades from the Classic Canes walking stick collection.  This is a great time to bring some autumnal warmth to shop window and other displays with walking sticks in colours such as brown, burgundy, orange and red.  We have over 700 models including hundreds of patterned and folding canes.  They are as much fashion accessories as they are mobility aids, so it is very important to have the season's colours in stock now.

Paralympics success for brand ambassador, Natasha Baker

31 Aug 2021
Paralympics success for brand ambassador, Natasha Baker
Great results from the Paralympic Games in Tokyo where Classic Canes brand ambassador Natasha Baker has acheived further medal successes to add to her tallies in London and Rio.  Natasha, together with her horse Lottie, has acheived two individual silver medals and a team gold in the dressage events at the Paralympic Games.

Having contracted a virus, Transverse Myelitis, at just 14 months old, Natasha was left with permanent nerve damage, loss of balance and sensation and severe weakness in her legs.  At the age of nine, she joined the local Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) and immediately showed incredible natural talent and a passion for the sport.

Watching the Sydney 2000 Paralympics, she set herself the goal of one day becoming a gold medallist. In 2002 Natasha was selected for the World Class Programme and by 2005 had a string of National and International titles to her name.

When riding Natasha is unable to use conventional aids so she instructs her horses entirely through verbal commands and seat movements.

Natasha Baker uses Classic Canes walking sticks to support her when walking and is using our Union Flag models whilst competing at the Paralympics.

Our congratulations go to Natasha, Lottie and all of 'Team Baker' at this wonderful time for them.

Congratulations Natasha!
